ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Matheus Champion, but you can call me Matt. Originally from Brazil I moved to Canada in 2017 in search of better opportunities for me and my family. During my time in Canada, I was able to learn English and start my path toward learning French. Languages are a passion that I'm willing to keep improving as life goes on.

As the son of a programmer, my path always ends up going towards the programmer's career. I developed an interest in computers early in life and began studying them in high school. I was able to get all the fundamental concepts and see a bright future for me in the area. I knew that it was time to seek the next level to make me ready to enter the work field. Therefore, I was enrolled in a college program. I' enrolled as a student in Web Programming at NSCC in 2021, and I've gained a significant understanding of the real world of developing.

I'm a determined professional keen on making an impact in the field. My journey includes leading a team of 17 developers while sharpening my coding skills in Laravel and PHP. I've also served as a core counsellor, boosting crucial communication abilities when working with children. My well-rounded experience extends to community-focused volunteer work and customer-centric part-time roles, earning me Employee of the Month recognition and a promotion to Crew Trainee early in my career.

I have a genuine appetite for ongoing learning, frequently delving into various subjects to widen my horizons. My engagement in artistic hobbies allows me to direct my unique perspective creatively. Additionally, I hold a keen interest in self-awareness, consistently seeking ways to improve my mental and physical well-being. I firmly believe that equilibrium is the cornerstone of life, and I am always in pursuit of a deeper understanding of my own limits and boundaries to estimate the size of my potential.
